Introducing the XION Foundation

Today, we introduce the XION Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to guiding the XION ecosystem and upholding its core values. Its mission is to steward the expansion of the XION network, an open blockchain that empowers developers to build Web3 applications accessible to everyone, everywhere.

In addition, we introduce $XION, the utility token powering the XION Proof-of-Stake (PoS) network that establishes a solid foundation for a flourishing, self-sustaining ecosystem. It serves to secure the network, and is designed to encourage participation, collaboration, and growth of the ecosystem, while ensuring continued decentralization and resilience of the network.

XION is an open blockchain platform designed to make Web3 applications accessible to all. It empowers developers to create and deploy applications that can reach users worldwide, breaking down barriers to entry for blockchain-based products. We believe that by making blockchain technology more accessible, we can democratize access to financial services, ownership, and digital economies.

The XION Foundation supports teams building secure, open-source, and decentralized applications within the ecosystem, and its primary aim is to ensure that Web3 is universally accessible through XION. Its end goal is to help pave the way for a decentralized internet where all users can participate freely and securely. As the XION Foundation continues to develop, it will continue to drive new initiatives to grow the ecosystem such as:
